The primary purpose of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence in a job role in the advice and guidance sector. The intended outcomes are to give you the opportunity to develop and demonstrate your competence and skills .
The TQUK Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance (QCF) develops the skills, knowledge and understanding to work in advice and guidance.
The qualification develops competence therefore you need to be in voluntary or paid work in the sector in order for assessment to take place.
There are no specific entry requirements however you should have a minimum of Level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent and be able to work at level 3 or above. What is included in the qualification?
The qualification consists of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover: interacting with clients, legislation and procedures, operating within networks, managing personal case load and evaluating and developing their own contribution to the service.
There is also a range of optional units which will allow you to develop your skills in a range of areas chosen to suit your personal development and the needs of your job role.
